RCB Crush CSK by 43 Runs:
A sensational batting display led by Tim David, Rajat Patidar, and Devdutt Padikkal powered Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) to a commanding 43-run victory over Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in their IPL 2026 clash at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Sunday.

RCB posted a massive 250/3, the highest total of the IPL 2026 season so far, before restricting CSK to 207 in 19.4 overs to seal a comprehensive win.

Padikkal Sets the Platform
After being put in to bat, RCB began cautiously with Phil Salt and Virat Kohli negotiating early swing. Kohli looked in good touch but departed for 28, while Salt contributed a steady 46.
Devdutt Padikkal then took charge in the middle overs, playing an elegant knock of 50 off 29 balls. His innings, featuring crisp boundaries and confident stroke play, laid the perfect foundation for a late assault.
David, Patidar Launch Brutal Finish
The game turned dramatically in the death overs as Rajat Patidar and Tim David unleashed a stunning counterattack. The duo stitched together an unbeaten 99-run partnership off just 35 balls.
Patidar smashed 48 not out off just 19 deliveries, while David stole the spotlight with a blistering 70 not out off 25 balls. His innings included a breathtaking assault in the 19th over, where he hammered four sixes and a boundary.
RCB plundered 97 runs in the last five overs, leaving CSK bowlers with no answers to the relentless hitting.
CSK Falter in Chase Despite Fightback
Chasing a daunting 251, CSK got off to a poor start, losing key wickets early. The pressure of the steep target proved too much for the top order.
Sarfaraz Khan provided some resistance with a quickfire 50 off 24 balls, while Prashant Veer added 43. A late partnership between Veer and Jamie Overton briefly raised hopes, but the required rate remained out of reach.
Bhuvneshwar Leads Bowling Effort
Bhuvneshwar Kumar delivered a disciplined spell, picking up 3/41 and crossing the milestone of 200 IPL wickets. He was well supported by Abhinandan Singh and others as RCB bowled out CSK in 19.4 overs.
