Part of the India-Central Asia Security Framework
Doval’s visit comes ahead of the third meeting of the India-Central Asia National Security Advisors/Secretaries of the Security Councils, hosted in Bishkek.

Continuity of Engagement
This marks the third successive year of India’s active participation in the regional security framework.
The first meeting was hosted by India in New Delhi in 2022, and
The second was held in Astana, Kazakhstan in 2023, where discussions centred on collective strategies to address regional threats and enhance bilateral defence ties.
Doval’s leadership in these dialogues underscores India’s growing role as a strategic security partner in Central Asia, aligning with its “Extended Neighbourhood Policy.”
Strategic Significance
The renewed focus on countering terrorism and radicalisation comes at a time when transnational security threats are evolving rapidly across Central Asia and South Asia.
India’s engagement with Kyrgyzstan reflects its long-term vision to ensure peace, stability, and mutual growth through defence diplomacy and regional partnerships.
