The 6-day Akanksha Mela was started on July 28 at the Subhashnagar Pachayat ground in Kanchanpur. This event was organized as a part of the Aspirational Block Program of NITI Aayog on the occasion of the Sampurnata Abhiyan Samman. Inaugurating the fair, Social Welfare and Social Education Minister Tinku Roy said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream is to build a developed India by 2047. For this, he is working by taking various plans for the development of the entire country. The state government’s goal is to improve the quality of life of the people of rural areas. For this purpose, the schemes of the central and state governments are being implemented properly. He said that in order to market various products made by the people of rural areas, emphasis should be placed on the quality of products. As a result, they will benefit economically.

At the event, Industries and Commerce Minister Santana Chakma said, “A self-reliant India and a self-reliant Tripura will be developed only if the last person in the society is developed. The development is possible only if every block in the state moves forward equitably. To build a drug-free Tripura, people from all sections of the society have to come forward.”
In her welcome address, North Tripura District Magistrate Chandni Chandran said that this felicitation ceremony and fair have been organized for the 100 percent success of the Dasda and Damchan Aspirational Block Programmes in the district in various fields such as education, health, nutrition, drinking water, agriculture, MGNREGA. A total of 50 exhibition stalls of various departments including self-help groups have been opened in this fair. In the evening, a delightful cultural program was organized by local and state artistes. Thirty officials from different levels of the district administration were felicitated on the stage.
