What Citizens Can Expect
Under this collaboration, residents searching on Google Maps will be directed only to verified Aadhaar centres. Users will be able to identify centres based on the type of services offered, including:
• Adult enrolment
• Child enrolment
• Address updates
• Mobile number updates
• Additionally, important details such as operating hours, availability of parking, and divyang-friendly infrastructure will be displayed wherever applicable.
The move is designed to improve public convenience and combat misinformation related to unauthorised Aadhaar service providers.
Covering Over 60,000 Aadhaar Centres
The initiative will cover more than 60,000 Aadhaar centres across the country, including
state-of-the-art Aadhaar Seva Kendras (ASKs). By integrating verified listings into Google Maps, the government aims to ensure residents can locate genuine centres quickly and confidently.
“UIDAI is always focused on improving ease of living for Aadhaar number holders. This collaboration will ensure that navigating authorised Aadhaar centres is now simpler, faster and more transparent,” said Bhuvnesh Kumar, CEO of UIDAI.

Next Phase: Appointments and Feedback System
In the next phase of the partnership, UIDAI will leverage Google Business Profile to manage centre information and respond directly to citizens’ feedback, creating a more transparent and responsive service ecosystem.
The collaboration will also explore enabling direct appointment booking through the Google Maps interface. This feature will allow residents to schedule visits in advance, reducing waiting times and improving service efficiency.
Roli Agarwal, Country Head, Strategic Partnerships at Google India, said that integrating verified Aadhaar centres into Google Maps will make it easier for millions to access trusted services.
“By joining hands with UIDAI, we are bridging the gap between essential government infrastructure and the people who need it most,” she said.
Strengthening Digital Governance
The partnership marks another step in India’s push toward digital governance and citizen-centric service delivery. By combining government infrastructure with widely used digital platforms like Google Maps, the initiative aims to make essential services more accessible and reliable.
With Aadhaar playing a critical role in identity verification for government and private services, the ability to quickly locate authorised centres is expected to significantly benefit residents nationwide.
