Tokyo, Japan — August 2025: The world of Pokemon is about to become more real than ever before! The beloved franchise is launching its first-ever permanent theme park, called PokePark KANTO, set to open at Yomiuriland in Tokyo’s Kanto region — the same region that fans first explored in the original Pokémon games.

A Dream Come True for Trainers Worldwide

Spanning a massive 26,000 square meters, PokePark KANTO promises a fully immersive experience that brings fans face-to-face with their favorite Pokémon in vibrant, life-like settings. Two Main Zones: Explore and Interact
According to concept art and official park plans, PokePark KANTO will be divided into two major zones:

Pokemon Forest

A stunning 500-meter nature walk winds through multiple terrains — forests, grasslands, wetlands — allowing visitors to observe Pokémon in the wild. Expect to see species from all generations living together in realistic, animatronic and AR-enhanced habitats. This nature trail offers an educational and heartwarming look into how different Pokémon cohabitate and interact in the wild.

Pokemon Trainer Arena (Expected – Yet to Be Officially Confirmed)

Though details are still under wraps, fans speculate a Trainer Zone is also in the works — a space where visitors can train, battle, and complete challenges to level up their skills as Pokémon Trainers. This may include augmented reality (AR) games, gym battle simulations, and interactive experiences with iconic characters like Pikachu, Charizard, and Eevee.

Opening Date & Tickets

An official opening date has not yet been announced, but construction is well underway, and sources suggest a Spring 2026 launch. Ticketing details and early-access passes are expected to go live by late 2025 via the official Pokémon website and Yomiuriland’s platform.
