In a catastrophic aviation disaster, an Air India Dreamliner (Flight AI 171) en route to London Gatwick crashed moments after takeoff from Ahmedabad’s Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport. The aircraft was carrying 230 passengers and 12 crew members when it plunged into a densely populated residential area near Meghani Nagar, triggering a massive explosion and fireball.
